Overview of this Web Site

The Marris pedigree was originally researched by Harold Colquhoun Marris OBE (1883-1966) and his fellow researcher Robert Winston-Davis de Marris.  Harold's papers indicate that he started researching his family history in the early 1900s.  Some 40 years later, the pedigree was accepted by the College of Arms (1940) and subsequently published in Burke's Landed Gentry (1952).

Use the blue panel on the right to access the various Marris trees on this web site.  They include the main Marris pedigree from 1066 to around 1900 and a number of other substantial Marris trees which I am still trying to link up.
